CROATIAN SHARE IN REGIONAL OIL CONSUMPTION 1.65%

ZAGREB, July 28 (SEEbiz.eu) - Croatia’s share in the consumption of oil and natural gas in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is 1.65% according to data published by BMI agency. Domestic gas production is negligible, and it is expected to fall to 0.29 per cent in 2014. The current consumption share of 0.7 per cent is expected to rise to 0.83 in the same period.

Oil consumption in the CEE totaled 5.4 million barrels a day in 2001 and 6.03 in 2009. By 2014 it is expected to rise to 6.69 million barrels, the Croatian daily Vecernji List writes.

Production has also grown from 8.88 million barrels per day in 2001 to 13.35 million last year. By 2014 it is expected to reach 14.57 million.
